On a warm sunny day, we ventured to an outdoor mini golf course on the scenic Hudson River with a great view of the financial district and One World Trade Center.
The course consists of 18 holes and, on each hole, you are allowed only a 4 stroke maximum. The course consists of trees and plenty of water obstacles.
We split into 2 teams of 3 because we were a large group. My team was the only team that kept score and I ended up winning the game. I decided to try something different and play with just my left hand (I am right handed) and still did very well. Our group leader, Juliette, did something very notable in this game by scoring 2 holes-in-one.
Following the game, I shared with the group some of the photos I took on a recent vacation to Los Angeles to visit my sister, her husband, and their dog. Some of the pictures were of the flight I took from New Jersey to LA. Others were of my time in Los Angeles. Additionally, I also shared pictures of my trip home which consisted of: an across the country train trip from Los Angeles to Chicago (that took 3 days and 2 nights), a one night stay in Chicago, and another train trip from Chicago to New York City (that took about 20 hours).
My flight from New Jersey (Newark International Airport) to Los Angeles International Airport was incredibly highlighted by the view of the snow capped Rocky Mountains below.
Upon arrival at my sister’s house, I was greeted with this spectacular view of the Los Angeles skyline.
On the second day of the trip, I attended a Dodgers game with my sister, her husband and their 2 friends in which the Dodgers beat the Cincinnati Reds. I am a huge baseball fan so this was fun. I was treated to this spectacular view of Dodger Stadium and the San Gabriel Mountains in the background.
On the third day, my sister, her husband, their dog, and I took a walk in the beautiful Echo Park.
Upon completion of the walk, I packed my bags and was driven to the train station by my sister and her husband where my solo journey across the USA began. The starting point was the amazing Los Angeles Union Station.
On the second day of train travel, I saw this view of the New Mexico Rocky Mountains on a sunny day.
When I arrived in Chicago, I spent one night in Hostel. The next day I took a walk to the spectacular Lake Michigan on a beautiful sunny day.
The conclusion of my trip ended in Manhattan with a view of the George Washington Bridge.
After showing the group my pictures, we headed over to a firehouse where the ghostbusters movie was filmed where our outing ended.
