Tales from The Social Club: Skylight, Skybright, A Quiet Twilight

For this event, members could propose what restaurant they want to get to and other members vote on which restaurant they wanted to go to. The restaurant that got the most votes would be where we met. I proposed the Skylight Diner and it won.
The Skylight Diner is one of my favorite places to eat because it is a rare diner in NYC that does not play music and is a quiet place. A big reason for it being quiet is the skylight (shown below) which not only provides a great view but also reduces the noise level. The diner also was not crowded when we went.
Also, keeping track of time was easy with the clock shown below.
At the Diner, we had discussions about the Yankees (whether Aaron Judge would win the Triple Crown), the Olympics, and about who we thought would win the 2024 Presidential Election. We also played a card game called Truth or Fear which one of the members brought in. Basically, the game is like Truth or Dare except the Fear cards are like dare cards. One card would be drawn from the deck where we either had to tell the truth or complete a task for the fear cards. An example of a fear card is deleting an app or contact from your cell phone. This is considered a fear card because some people have trouble getting rid of things they own. This was an enjoyable game to play because we learned new things about each other.
The food was also great as I ordered a Hamburger and delicious cheesecake for dessert.
After having dinner and desert, I walked out of the Diner and was greeted by this twilight from the setting sun.
